Parks and Recreation Spring Programs

Easter Egg Hunt

Red Bank Parks and Recreation has announced that the Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 8th at its new location of Count Basie Field. The event will begin at 2pm sharp and there will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny as well as prizes, crafts and tattoos! Participants are encouraged to bring a basket and a camera. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed with the new date to be announced.

Couch to 5K

The Couch to 5K event will begin March 27th.  For those adults seeking motivation to get active again, this class will teach the basics of running.  It is designed for those who have not been exercising much in recent history and are looking for a change in their life.   The pace will proceed at a level that is comfortable and safe starting off with slow, short distance trips and gradually building the ability to compete in a local 5K race.  The cost is $30 per person and the classes will take place at 7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays at Eastside Park.  Advance registration is required.

For more information on either of these programs, please contact the Parks and Recreation office at 732-530-2782.
