Library to Host Speaker on Real News Stories versus Fake News

The Red Bank Public Library will be presenting a three part series focusing on the topic of Fake News.  The first event will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 4, and will feature guest speaker Professor Marina Vujnovic, a professor at Monmouth University in the Department of Communications.  Professor Vujnovic will help participants learn how to evaluate published information.

The next event will be "The Views of Journalists" to be held on November 1 at 7pm.  The presentation will feature John Burton of the Two River Times, Hollis Towns of the Asbury Park Press and John T. Ward of Redbankgreen.com. 

The final event will be "Teaching our Children to Identify Valid Information" to be held on December 6 at 7pm.  This presentation will feature a panel of educators and librarians.
