The Borough of Red Bank has been selected to receive funding from the New Jersey Department of Transportation's Fiscal Year 2019 Municipal Aid Program for the Broad Street Resurfacing Project in the amount of $290,000. The Broad Street Resurfacing Project is part of the Borough of Red Bank's Road Improvement Program for 2020. This focus area for this project includes a nearly 0.4-mile span of Broad Street between Front Street and Reckless Place. The scope of work consists of a comprehensives series of roadway and pedestrian improvements in addition to the resurfacing with an estimated total cost of $821,000.
The Borough's Road Improvement Program is a recurring annual process of evaluating and selecting roads for resurfacing or reconstruction based on technical conditions and capital funding considerations. The other roads selected for the 2020 Road Improvement Program will be announced at the end of 2019. The 2018-2019 Combined Road Improvement Program is underway and includes McClaren Street, Tilton Avenue, Grant Place, and Pearl Street.
