To help strike a balance between supply and demand, signs like the one pictured are posted along many of our residential streets. Essentially, this helps to reduce the likelihood that long-term parkers will box residents out of an opportunity to park in proximity to their homes.
Residential permits, three per household, are available free of charge to those residing on streets where these restrictions are posted.
Permits can be obtained by visiting the Parking office at 75 Chestnut Street on weekdays between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. No appointment is necessary. Please be prepared to fill out a very simple registration form (or click here to download, print and pre-fill your application) and provide two forms of identification bearing the residential address (drivers license, utility bill, vehicle registration, etc.)
Please call the Parking office at 732-530-2771, ext. 182 if further information is required.
