The Borough of Red Bank Mayor & Council, Administration, Office of Emergency Management, Police Department and Fire Department continue to monitor the developing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.  We would like to remind everyone of the importance of following the State, County and Municipal directives and orders concerning social distancing to mitigate further spread of COVID-19 in New Jersey.  As the State, County and Red Bank COVID-19 positive count increases daily, it is a likely scenario that one of us will know someone firsthand who has been infected with the COVID-19 virus.  There is no reason to panic but there is reason to be prepared - follow the steps and guidelines from the CDC at to prepare and protect yourself and your family.   • Please remember, the Borough of Red Bank Municipal Building will remain closed to the public through April 3, 2020.  All municipal employees continue to report to work and are serving the public by telephone, e-mail, regular mail or fax. Visit the municipal website at for contact information for various municipal offices and employees as well as online services.
  • Overtime parking enforcement has been suspended, but other parking rules remain in effect.
  • Because of the restrictions on public gatherings, the Borough of Red Bank is limiting Council meetings to address only items required for the continued operations of the municipality.  Since immediate action was not required for any essential matters this week, the regularly scheduled meeting for Wednesday, March 25, 2020, 6:30 p.m. was cancelled.  The Borough will announce digital/telephonic access for future meetings on the Borough website at www.redbanknj,org
  • The Department of Public Utilities urges residents NOT to flush anything down the toilet except for toilet paper.  Residents should not flush "flushable" wipes, disinfectant wipes, paper towels, or any other paper products in the toilet.  We are experiencing a higher than usual number of sewage backups attributed to the flushing of materials not suitable for the sewage infrastructure - this will cause sewage backups in your home and your neighbors homes.
  • The State of New Jersey has created a Jobs/Hiring Portal for workers impacted by COVID-19 layoffs and shutdowns. Visit
  • NJ Mental Health Cares, the state’s behavioral health information and referral service, is offering help to people dealing with anxiety and worry related to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. New Jerseyans can call 1-866-202-HELP (4357) for free, confidential support. NJ Mental Health Cares will be answered from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week by live trained specialists.
