The Borough of Red Bank Mayor & Council, Administration, Office of Emergency Management, Police Department and Fire Department continue to monitor the developing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.  As of April 7, 2020, the Borough has been advised that there are 2,800 positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County and 58 in Red Bank.  We would like to remind everyone of the importance of following the State, County and Municipal directives and orders concerning social distancing to slow further spread of COVID-19 in New Jersey.  Follow the steps and guidelines from the CDC at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html to prepare and protect yourself and your family. • The Borough of Red Bank Municipal Building will remain closed to the public through April 17, 2020.  All municipal employees continue to report to work and are serving the public by telephone, e-mail, regular mail or fax. • This Friday, April 10, 2020 is a scheduled State holiday; municipal offices will be closed.
• New Jersey Governor Philip Murphy issued four additional Executive Orders today concerning the pandemic, including an extension of the Public Health Emergency declaration.  To view this orders, visit https://nj.gov/infobank/eo/056murphy/approved/eo_archive.html
• Executive Order #108, signed today, closes State and County Parks to further social distancing.  Similarly, there have been recent instances of non-compliance with social distancing directives at local parks despite verbal warnings and orders to disperse.  As a result, the Borough of Red Bank will follow suit and close all municipal parks effective April 8, 2020.
• In lieu of the annual Egg Hunt, the Recreation Department has scheduled a "Bunny Parade" for Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9.  The Bunny will ride around town on a firetruck this Wednesday and Thursday.  Children are encouraged to cheer on and wave to the Bunny from the safety of their porches and lawns.  Parents are asked to keep their children behind the sidewalks and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Our hope is that our magical, furry friend will have the opportunity to brighten the day for a lot of Red Bank children.  In an effort to see all the children in town on schedule, the Bunny will visit the four zones according to estimated timeline below (contingent upon traffic and weather). • The Borough’s private contractor for garbage and recycling collection kindly asks customers to properly dispose of all trash in sealed/tightly tied trash bags and to refrain from putting loose trash in containers/curbside to minimize their employee exposure.
