  • The Borough of Red Bank Mayor & Council, Administration, Office of Emergency Management, Police Department and Fire Department continue to monitor the developing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of July 31, 2020, there are 10,057 positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County and the total number of positive cases in Red Bank to date is 307. We would like to remind everyone of the importance of following the State, County and Municipal directives and orders concerning social distancing to slow further spread of COVID-19 in New Jersey. Follow the steps and guidelines from the CDC at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html to prepare and protect yourself and your family.   • Monmouth County is offering free COVID-19 testing at various locations, including Red Bank.  No appointments are necessary and you do not have to be symptomatic.  Click here for more information, locations and dates/times.
  • The Borough of Red Bank Municipal Building will remain closed to the public through Friday, August 7, 2020. All municipal employees continue to report to work and are serving the public by telephone, e-mail, regular mail or fax. Contact information for various municipal offices and employees as well as online services are available on the Borough website (www.redbanknj.org). Beginning Monday, August 10, 2020, the Municipal Building will re-open to the public on an appointment-only basis to maintain social distancing and comply with capacity restrictions. (Originally, this was scheduled for August 3rd but has been postponed for additional preparations.)  Individuals wishing to make an appointment for assistance with matters that cannot be addressed remotely can contact the appropriate department starting Wednesday, August 5th.
  • The next scheduled Council Workshop Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 6:30 p.m. followed by a Council Regular Meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, 6:30 p.m. Because of the restrictions on public gatherings that impact the ability of the Borough of Red Bank to meet in the traditional manner of gathering at the municipal building, the Mayor & Council will conduct this meeting using electronic means that will allow for the public to participate.   • Construction on White Street continues successfully and on-schedule. Water and sewer infrastructure improvements were completed and the project is in the 90-day settlement period.  Curb, concrete, sidewalk and brick paver installation will be ongoing during this time until paving can resume in October. White Street businesses remain open and the road has reopened to traffic.  Construction will shift to the White Street Parking Lot throughout August.  Updates will continue to be provided.
  • Parking is getting easier!  The Parking Utility continues to reinvest revenues into service improvements at no cost to taxpayers.  Following the recommendations of expert consultants, new state-of-the-art on-street parking meters have been installed throughout the town.  Some benefits include reduced street clutter, ADA compliance, credit card & mobile app payments, two-way communication, seamless enforcement for increased parking turnover, and more.  Enforcement of all parking regulations downtown will resume on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
  • Beginning September 1, 2020, the Borough of Red Bank will be serviced by the Monmouth County Health Department for State-mandated public health needs under a new agreement that will bring a nearly 45% savings annually to Red Bank taxpayers. In an effort to facilitate a smooth transition with businesses that require inspections, particularly food establishments, the new team from the Monmouth County Health Department will be available for a virtual meet & greet for our business community on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 10 a.m.  This event will be conducted using the Zoom conference platform.   • The Red Bank Council Finance Committee is hosting an electronic presentation on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for anyone interested in learning about the 2020 municipal operating budget.  This presentation has taken place annually in person at a special meeting or Council meeting, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this presentation will be conducted using the Zoom conference platform.   • Monmouth County ACTS has published a Community Resource Guide in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to provide assistance for seniors in a wide range of information and contacts for food delivery, pharmacies, caregiver support, financial assistance and so much more. The COVID-10 Community Resource Guide is available on www.MonmouthACTS.org/covid19
  • NJ Mental Health Cares, the state’s behavioral health information and referral service, is offering help to people dealing with anxiety and worry related to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. New Jerseyans can call 1-866-202-HELP (4357) for free, confidential support. NJ Mental Health Cares will be answered from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week by live trained specialists.
